Day 2 – Monaco and Montecarlo

Drive along the Ligurian coast on the Fiori Autostrada, the name given to the motorway between Genoa and Ventimiglia and connecting to the Esterel motorway in France.

Panoramic drive on the “Moyenne Corniche” with breathtaking views on Monaco. The guests get a first impression of the different areas of the city-state : the high-rise concrete buildings of Monte Carlo, the old city and The Rock, the harbour of Fontvieille, the elegant district “La Condamine” and the new off-the-cliff suburb of Moneghetti.

Guided tour of the Monaco-Ville through the narrow medieval streets of the old town to the Cathedral Saint Nicholas in Roman-Byzantine style (housing the burials of Princes Grace and Prince Rainer) and to the Prince’s Palace.

Free time at leisure in the old town on your own, the guests can enjoy the picture perfect views, the boutiques or just observe the hustle and bustle of Monaco from a sunny terrace.

Feel like a Formula One pilot as we cross the starting line of the Grand Prix race track in Monte Carlo. Before saying goodbye to Monte Carlo, stop at the world-famous Casino of Monaco, designed by the architect Charles Garnier.

Back on the motorway to our hotel. Dinner with a starter and salad buffet and 3 course-meal menu of your choice.

Day 3 Sanremo & in Dolceacqua, Lunch and wine tasting

Sanremo is the undisputed capital of the Flower Riviera and therefore features the largest flower trading center in Italy, but also a beautiful Liberty-style casino, a small Russian church, the elegant boutiques of Via Matteotti, two harbours and huge parks.

With the tour guide, the guests get to know the interesting corners of the city center and insider tips for leisure time to unravel Sanremo on their own.

Onward journey into the hinterland to a renowned winegrower. Here the guests are invited to  taste the various wines of the region including a lunch with Ligurian delicacies

We carry on to the unique quaint medieval town of Dolceacqua with its old bridge from the 13th century spanning the Nervia river. Claude Monet called her a “jewel of lightness” and drew inspiration from the town for one of his paintings.

Return to the hotel, dinner with a starter and salad buffet and 3 course-meal menu of your choice.

Day 4 – Cannes – St. Raphael

This glamorous city owns its reputation from hosting France’s most awaited film festival and many congresses, and – not to be missed – the famous “La Croisette” promenade lined with numerous top-class hotels.

Here the tour guide accompanies your guests to the main entrance of the new film festival building, where are displayed the handprints of all the directors and actors who have met here over the past decades, similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. City tour in Cannes and time at leisure.

We drive along the famous “Corniche d’Or”, one of the most beautiful coastal roads in France. The jagged relief of strong red rocks stands out wonderfully against the deep blue sea. On the road via “Mandelieu La Napoule” to “Theoule sur Mer”, you can admire the most dreamy luxury residences. In St. Raphael, the sunny beach promenade separates the new marina from the old fishing port and offers a delightful view of the sea and the two red rocks called “land and sea lions”. Time at leisure to visit the many boutiques and souvenir shops in the pedestrian zone.

Return to the hotel through the Roman city of Frejus on the motorway through the Esterel mountains.

Dinner with a starter and salad buffet and 3 course-meal menu of your choice.

Day 5 Menton and Èze Village

Famous for its Lemon Festival, Menton is the border town to Italy. Here you can feel the Italian flair, be it through the pastel-colored house facades or the Italian babble of voices. However, along the main shopping street, which is closed to car traffic, you feel like you have been transported back to an older France. Due to the extremely mild climate, it is a very popular vacation spot. Visit and time at leisure.

Next stop is Èze Village, also known as the “Eagle’s Nest” of the Côte d’Azur. The village is beautifully situated on a rock that slopes steeply into the sea.

The town center hides picturesque medieval corners with many boutiques of souvenirs of every kind from the Provence. A special treat, especially for the ladies, is a visit to the local perfume factory, where you will be introduced to the secrets of perfume essence production.

Èze Village offers arguably the most beautiful panorama of the Côte d´Azur.
