Arrival at the hotel where you will be greeted by our staff. Presentation of the hotel and the program around a welcome drink. Dinner with a choice of 3-course menu and buffet of starters and salads.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Day 2: Volterra and San Gimignano<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We drive along the coast and through the beautiful landscapes of inner Tuscany … up to one of the highest hills at 550m high : Volterra! Settled by the Etruscans over 3000 years ago, this beautiful medieval town hides a historic town center, a Roman theater and alabaster workshops still operating today. Our guests have the opportunity to witness first hand the making of a vase or candlestick by some of the most talented artists.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the way to San Gimignano, the ride is an experience for the senses. Set in the middle of the vineyards and olive groves, the city of towers protrudes like the stupendous castle from a fairy tale book.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to its strategic position on the most important trade route to the Orient in the Middle Age, San Gimignano flourished through the trade of Vernaccia wine, spices and most of all saffron. Today the 14 remaining towers (out of 72!) are testimonies of the noble families who competed to demonstrate their power and wealth and earned San Gimignano the nickname of \u201cthe Manhattan of the Middle Age\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 3: Cinque Terre<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today we are off to Liguria! After passing the Apuan Alps, famous for its Carrara marble, we reach the port city of La Spezia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Up on the scenic road, the views of the Gulf of La Spezia are certainly worth many a photo! As we reach the cliffs, we discover an incomparable panorama over the Cinque Terre: steep slopes with vineyards and fishing villages built into the rugged cliffs with colorful houses like little dots of orange, red, yellow.<\/span><\/p>\n

We drive through vineyards and olive groves, palm trees and prickly pear cactus, agaves until we arrive in the small village of Manarola. From there we take the train to the westernmost town of Monterosso. Time at leisure where you can try one of its many good fish restaurants.<\/span><\/p>\n

We set off by boat to admire the coast of the Cinque Terre from the sea. Our first stop is in Portovenere, the port of Venus, a magical place lined with colorful tower houses. Our cruise continues past the vibrantly painted houses of the Cinque Terre built into the rocks, to La Spezia, where the coach is already waiting for us.<\/span><\/p>\n

Back at the hotel. Dinner with a choice of 3-course menu and buffet of starters and salads.<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 4: Siena and the Chianti area<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Siena excursion takes us to the south of Tuscany. On the way, we pass by the largest tree nurseries in Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Siena is located on 3 hills. Our coach takes us up to the large fortress and city wall. From there we explore by foot the ancient city center : the famous Campo Square, where the horse races take place, the beautiful, unique cathedral and the famous Caf\u00e9 Nannini, where you can get the best cappuccino.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our next stop is taking us to the Chianti area, with fantastic views of the magnificent vineyards, a real feast for the eyes.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s possible stopping at a winery for a wine tasting with a snack.<\/span><\/p>\n

Back at the hotel and dinner with a salad and starter buffet and a typical Tuscan menu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 5: Pisa and Lucca with lunch on a wine estate<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Departure from the hotel to one of the most beautiful cities in Tuscany- <\/span>Lucca.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The city walk takes us around the historical center, with its small alleys, unique palaces and churches.<\/span><\/p>\n

Onwards to the beautiful wine region of Montecarlo! Our hosts at the winery are already waiting for us with a typical Tuscan menu accompanied by fine wines from the region, all in the shade of the beautiful magnolia trees.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next we are on the way to Pisa … As we drive through the city gate Porta Nuova, prepare to marvel at the magnificence of Pisa : the grandiose cathedral made of snow-white marble, the largest baptistery in the world, the monumental cemetery and of course the world-famous leaning bell tower with its rows of columns made of snow-white marble.<\/span><\/p>\n

Return to the hotel for dinner with a choice of 3-course menu and buffet of starters and salads.<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 6 \u2013 Departure<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After breakfast it is time to say goodbye.<\/span><\/p>\n
